Version 1.1.3 brings improvements to both the Calculator and Measurement tools.
The Calculator tool now handles missing measurement data more effectively and lets you zoom in on its charts. The Measurement tool offers even greater accuracy when measuring very high-order partials.
In the end, I decided to make PRO mode free of charge for everyone, at least for now. Nerd Artisan Piano Tuner is currently available to everyone in PRO mode for free (make sure you have the latest version!).
I may change this at any time and without prior notice. Of course, any PRO entitlements that have already been purchased or received as part of a promotion will remain valid.
Now, I honestly have no idea how much anyone other than me will like this app. No clue, really. I like it a lot, though. If it ends up undercutting other developers offering products in the same niche, then I feel I owe them an explanation. For now, however, I do not feel comfortable giving that explanation publicly. Maybe I will later.
If you really cannot sleep without knowing why, feel free to write to me. For now, all I can say is that I genuinely tried very hard to avoid this outcome.
Or maybe some developer reading this has already checked out my app, found it terribly made, and is now having a good laugh.
Please note that if you need to tune a piano in a remote area without an internet connection, you may experience problems unless you have opened the app while connected to the internet within the previous 24 hours.
I hope you all have a lot of fun with the app.
Unfortunately, due to complex bureaucratic circumstances, I am required to suspend the availability of all in-app purchases. I hope to find a solution soon. In the meantime, I will most likely make PRO mode available to everyone free of charge until the issue is resolved.
Unfortunately, the review process on Google Play is taking longer than expected. I hope the fact that the user manual has already been updated to reflect the new version does not cause any confusion. Thank you for your patience.
In the new version being released today (1.1.0), you’ll find a completely redesigned Tuner tool. It includes a new tuning algorithm, reference partial selection, and the new “TimeFix” mode, which lets you measure frequency within a precisely defined time window after the note attack, improving accuracy and reproducibility at the expense of immediate visual feedback during tuning.
